The first riding session will include a thorough review of the controls before proceeding to the basics of riding, including straight line riding, turning, shifting, and braking. The second riding session will progress to cornering, swerving, and emergency braking. This riding session concludes with a skill evaluation. Students who successfully complete the Basic RiderCourse 1 (BRC1) will receive a Motorcycle Safety Foundation completion card and are also entitled to a DMV certified document (DL 389) that may waive the riding portion of the Motorcycle endorsement examination at the DMV. |
